Project descriptionCollateral Crew supports collateral operations within the bank. The purpose of these is the mitigation of risk posed because of open trades between the firm and its clients and also meeting regulatory requirements (mostly around reporting and audit). The crew consists of around 250 users, of which around 100 are IT itself. The business process is organized around margining and collateral movement (settlement and clearing). We assess the risk associated with a particular business relationship, calculate the required collateral based on our calculation models, and present the client with margin calls if more collateral is required. The process is performed on a daily basis.Responsibilities

Your responsibility will be mostly writing Java code, solving business problems (with the help of BA, PO, and users). You will be collaborating within a highly regulated environment that has high risk exposure and specific regulatory requirements. You may be required to write JavaScript code for front-end purposes. Your clients will be mostly internal users within the bank (from various divisions, not confined to collateral ops).

SKILLSMust have

Java (8 to 21): Strong proficiency, with awareness of migration challenges and new features in Java 21
Spring Boot: For building and maintaining services
Hibernate: For ORM and database interaction
Junit5: For writing and maintaining automated tests
GitLab: Experience with version control and CI/CD pipelines
Database (Sybase)

Nice to have

Experience in Kafka, Docker, Azure (Functions, CosmosDB, AKS) • Java Swing: Legacy desktop application maintenance • JavaScript, React, Redux: For full-stack feature development • Understanding of event-driven architecture and data processing • Basic understanding of microservices architecture • Experience in dealing with distributed client representatives • Familiar with the financial sector • Familiar with the corporate banking environment
