Senior Technical Writer, Audio Content

• Distill information from various sources to create concise, accurate, and timely documentation tailored to diverse user personas.
• Lead content initiatives with project teams to uncover user insights and needs, incorporating them into the information experience.
• Establish effective project priorities and negotiate timelines based on objectives, project requirements, and ongoing tasks.
• Continuously update content in preparation for subsequent releases.
• Proactively identify opportunities to enhance processes for generating and delivering optimized content to users.
• Share knowledge through training, mentorship, and guidance to team members to enhance their capabilities.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enrich expertise.

• Writing is your passion and your craft. You have native or nearly native level of English and are an excellent editor with 5+ years experience in documenting software domains (APIs, SDKs, web frameworks) or audio/video processing and distribution technologies.
• Experience writing for developer audiences and in documenting software-related tasks and concepts.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional certification.
• Experience using minimalist writing and structured authoring principles to maximize searchability, filtering, and content reusability across delivery types, products, and versions.
• Proficiency with technical writing formats such as DITA, XML, Markdown and docs-as-code.
• Proficiency in using tools including Oxygen XML Editor, Git, Jira, Confluence.
• Familiarity with the Agile methodology.
• Skills in technical illustration.
• Experience/skills/coursework in:

• Audio/video coding
• Software development
• UX design, data analytics, prompt engineering for generative AI
• Tech Comms content development and production tools.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
• Preferred: Understanding of UX research, application of user data/analytics, personalized instructional information, and emerging technologies such as generative AI.
