For our customer, leader in consulting, technology services and digital transformation we are looking for a seasoned Unix Engineer with extensive expertise in both Solaris and Linux operating systems and infrastructure to join our team supporting a private banking client. This opportunity is tailored for professionals who possess the necessary skills, knowledge, and experience in OS administration, automation, and related tasks and are eager to thrive in a dynamic and stimulating environment.Project information:

- Creating, configuring, and overseeing Zones and VMs
- Applying OS and firmware patches to servers
- Streamlining automation processes using Ansible, shell scripts, and cron jobs
- Troubleshooting OS-related issues and evaluating server performance
- Planning, coordinating, and executing changes alongside other 3rd line support teams
- Engaging in infrastructure projects aimed at expanding your expertise across diverse fields and technologies
- Extensive hands-on experience in constructing and managing Solaris and Linux servers
- Proficiency in handling Solaris and Linux file systems and storage (such as LVM, NFS, automount, LUN, etc.)
- Knowledge of automation and management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Red Hat Satellite, etc.)
- Proficiency in bash, bourne, and yaml scripting, as well as cron job scheduling
- Familiarity with Solaris Zone management
- Understanding of virtualization technologies essential for deploying and managing Linux VMs (e.g., VMWare vSphere, Red Hat Virtualization, etc.)
