The Platform team currently consists of thirteen employees (seven in Denmark and five in Germany and one in Poland). It is an integral part of our global Software division, which comprises over 250 software developers across Denmark, Germany, Poland, Austria, the USA, and Singapore.The Platform team has a clear ambition: to simplify the lives of application developers and reduce their cognitive load, all while introducing novel ideas and cutting-edge technologies into the software development process. We achieve this by delivering tools and services directly to our internal software teams, rather than to end customers. In essence, our customers are the in-house software developers at BEUMER, and our mission is to provide software solutions that meet their needs. Additionally, we establish security baselines and ensure that the tools and software we offer comply with stringent security requirements.In relation to this role, the following overall tasks are in scope:
- Developing and maintaining a software platform as a product for the application developers in a close dialogue with the developers.
- Programming Tools and Platforms in C#, Java or Go-Lang
- Support the software architects in designing and estimating the solutions
- Take care of our Tools and choose the correct ones to use in our landscape
- Guide and support application teams in the use of the tools, architecture, model, etc. e.g., a microservice architecture, zero trust security model etc.
- Explore and experiment with new technologies
- Training the organization in e.g., Git, Docker…
- Testing out ideas from/with the team for future improvements and their success
- Work with cyber security compliance, standards, and frameworks as ISO27001, IEC62443 or NIST
- University degree - technical or IT oriented studies
- Open for working within international teams
- At least 4-5 years of proven commercial experience with at least one of the following programming languages: .NET (8+), Java, Go-Lang
- Proven experience in containerization and usage of Docker
- Experience in microservices development, virtualization, and container orchestration.
- Very good level of English written and spoken
- Strong focus on quality assurance (specification, code, processes, documentation, tests, etc.)
- Proficiency with a range of software tools (e.g., GitLab, Docker, MQTT)
- Basic knowledge and understanding of agile project methodologies
- Great independence in the fulfilment of tasks and opportunities for development
