- Support the development and implementation of preventative and detective controls across operational processes, contributing to the design of a comprehensive controls framework.
- Review business processes to identify existing controls and highlight gaps where additional controls are needed to mitigate operational risks
- Assess controls to ensure they remain appropriate and identify weaknesses or issues that require escalation to senior team members
- Help consolidate fragmented controls into a unified framework, eliminating duplicative processes and control gaps
- Conduct regular testing of implemented controls to validate effectiveness, documenting results and escalating deficiencies to senior team members
- Maintain accurate documentation of control descriptions, testing procedures, and results
- Monitor control performance using key indicators and metrics, identifying control failures and supporting remediation efforts
- Consolidate key governance reporting packs and provide administrative support for governance meetings
- Experience of working in a control function such as Audit, Risk or Compliance
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills
- Attention to detail
- Good planning and organisational abilities
- Effective communication and analytical skills
- Able to demonstrate critical thinking skills and a passion for problem solving
- Fluency in English
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies
- Experience in data analysis
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience in a Financial Services Operations function
