Job descriptionWe're seeking an experienced Java Developer who is curious, open-minded, and passionate about technology that will join CAR team. In this role, you'll work on our microservices architecture, developing key features like the Betslip, Cashout, and Bet Builder solutions for William Hill's UK and Spanish customers.This is your chance to design and build high-volume, low-latency applications that are mission-critical, ensuring high availability and excellent performance. You'll be involved in all stages of development-writing clean, efficient code, participating in architecture reviews, and continuously exploring innovative solutions to keep us at the forefront of the industry.What you will be doing

Translating functional and non-functional requirements into working software with your team
Working closely with the team to analyse, debug and resolve any defects
A commitment to monitoring and observability, trying to find performance issues or bottlenecks in advance
Ensuring technical debt is managed effectively (avoid creating it & remove it whenever there's opportunity)
Communicate clearly with everyone, translating non-technical and technical requirements appropriately to stakeholders
Taking responsibility for product delivery and your contributions to it
Develop prototypes and POCs
Work with microservices on the backend, CI/CD pipelines
