Join Vonage and help us innovate cloud communications for businesses worldwide!Why this role matters:We're looking for a Developer Advocate (Onboarding) to join the Vonage Developer Relations team and transform the developer onboarding experience for our APIs. In this role, you'll drive operational efficiency by creating and maintaining tools, scripts, and automation solutions that streamline the developer journey from initial API evaluation to adoption Your work will focus on reducing friction points, accelerating time-to-value, and ensuring developers can quickly and confidently integrate Vonage's APIs into their applications.About the Role:As an Developer Advocate (Onboarding), you will architect and implement tooling solutions that make it easier for developers to get started with and implement Vonage's APIs. Your expertise will help reduce integration complexity, automate common setup processes, and create scalable solutions that enable developers to move from proof-of-concept to production more efficiently. A key focus will be on building and maintaining tools that support the entire developer journey, from initial SDK setup to production deployment.Your key responsibilities:

Onboarding Automation: Create and implement automated solutions for common onboarding tasks, reducing manual setup time and potential configuration errors.
Integration Support: Build tooling that helps developers diagnose and resolve common integration challenges, including debugging utilities and testing frameworks.
Documentation Tools: Develop and maintain tools that help keep API documentation current, including automated testing of code samples and integration examples.
Developer Tools: Design, develop, and maintain CLI tools, SDKs, and automation scripts that streamline the integration of Vonage's Network APIs into various development environments.
Developer Feedback: Gather and analyze developer feedback to identify opportunities for tooling improvements and new automation solutions.
Cross-team Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Support teams to ensure tooling aligns with platform capabilities and developer needs.

What you'll bringRequired:

Strong software development experience with expertise in building developer tools and automation solutions.
Experience with API integration.
Proficiency in Python or JavaScript.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to work in a remote environment.

Experience we consider a plus:

Previous Developer Experience, Developer Relations or Developer Advocacy experience.
Experience with SDKs and command-line tool development.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages commonly used for tooling.
Familiarity with cloud communication platforms (CPaaS), Network APIs, and Vonage APIs.
Background in creating developer documentation and technical content.
