Safety, environment, and wellbeing are our foundation, and we never compromise them.We are looking for a Senior Service Mechanic with a main responsibility in identifing failures and faults, make adjustments during maintenance or repair of engines, provide technical support to customers, and work according to regulations, policies, procedures, standards, and work instructions, including the management system and environmental quality.The preferred location for this position is in Gdansk, Poland.Your role and responsibilitiesAs a Senior Service Mechanic you will focus on these responsibilities:

Perform Field Service activities according to the work plan on modern marine diesel engines.
Perform overhauls and repairs on 4-stroke medium-speed engines.
Perform Workshops overhauls and repairs on 4-stroke medium-speed engines components.
Interact professionally with customers during the work execution.
Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work.
Create the Service Work Reports.
Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
Follow up and report on the status of work orders to customers and/or internal stakeholders.
Continuously seek solutions according to best practices.
Proactively consulting, advising, and promoting available Wartsila solutions and products to customers.
Perform all activities needed to reach the objectives of the position and comply with the orders, instructions, values, and company policies applicable as an employee and to the position.

Requirements for the position

Diploma in Mechanical or Marine Engineering.
Previous experience as Mechanical engineer on Wartsila Diesel Engine or similar Medium bores applications.

Information Management skills, including MS Office Tools.
Strong knowledge of auxiliary's equipment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work with people from different culture.
Ability to work under pressure.
Motivation to learn and grow professionally.
Ability to travel approximately 7-8 months per year
Ability to generate technical reports.
Good command of English in speaking and writing.
Good level of Polish language proficiency is required.
