- Ensure the Group's risk management framework is adequate for managing tax evasion risks.
- Provide tax advisory services to CFCR areas and enhance the AML control framework across the Group (private bank, HNW segments, SMEs and corporate & investment bank)
- Support the Group's UK CCO framework by enhancing tax evasion risk assessments and prevention procedures.
- Provide expertise on tax for strategic reviews of high-risk areas.
- Develop communication and training programs for key functions and raise awareness of tax evasion risks.
- Support transaction monitoring design principles and execution to facilitate effective identification and management of tax evasion risks.
- Perform external risk assessment to anticipate emerging and horizon risks in key products and geographies.
- Outreach to industry peers as well support a positive engagement with key regulators.
- Lead by example to build a strong culture and value.
- Experienced tax professional with at least 5+ years of exposure to tax advisory in the financial services sector or a Big 4 background
- Solid grounding in International Tax principles and ability to apply these in a fast-paced financial services environment.
- Legal and/or accounting qualifications are required, with a preference for an advanced degree in Tax.
- Deep understanding of tax issues affecting banking products and their structures is mandatory.
- Robust background in tax risk management and experience in implementing effective controls within global banking operations are also important.
- Experience in financial crime compliance or related exposure is an advantage.
