- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 7+ years of experience in Telecom Network Management software development.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in SON or RAN automation projects.
- Strong knowledge of Self-Organizing Network concepts, including Mobility Load Balancing (MLB), Coverage & Capacity Optimization, and Automatic Neighbor Relation (ANR).
- Expertise in development and prototyping of machine learning models using Python-based frameworks such as PyTorch and Scikit-learn.
- Ability to evaluate and implement suitable machine learning approaches, including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning methods.
- Manage model training processes, including optimal hyperparameter tuning for improved performance.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and practices.
- Experience with microservices architecture and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms like OpenShift, Azure or AWS.
- Excellent understanding of RAN Configuration Parameters and KPIs for 4G/5G networks.
- Experience working with Network Management APIs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Hands-on experience with vendor-specific SON tools or open-source network optimization frameworks.
- Familiarity with OSS integration, NFV/SDN, and Service Assurance platforms.
- Prior involvement in open telecom initiatives such as O-RAN or Telecom Infra Project (TIP).
- Proven leadership and mentorship experience within R&D environments, particularly guiding data scientists and ML engineers.
- Advanced skills in data integrity management, feature engineering, and hyperparameter tuning.
- Lead the architecture, design scalable, robust, cloud-native AI/ML architectures to support the full lifecycle of machine learning models, from data collection and preprocessing through to deployment and ongoing monitoring.
- Develop comprehensive pipelines for data collection, cleaning, transformation, model training, and cloud-native deployment. Design and implement AI/ML-based algorithms for real-time performance tuning, fault prediction, and anomaly detection.
- Define integration strategies with existing OSS/BSS and centralized RAN management platforms.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, RAN, Core, Cloud) to deliver scalable, cloud-native SON components.
- Mentor developers and contribute to technical leadership and roadmap planning.
- Ensure software quality through rigorous testing, validation, and documentation practices.
