We are responsible for the technologies powering Akamai's security products and protecting some of the world's major internet brands. Working in partnership with other development teams, we design and create highly scalable solutions.Partner with the bestIn this role, you'll play a key part in strengthening security products by analyzing data, addressing customer challenges, and driving product improvements. You'll collaborate across teams to implement solutions, enhance detection accuracy, and provide insights that shape strategy and performance.As a Security Data Analyst , you will be responsible for:

Analysing customer traffic, tailor detection algorithms for maximum accuracy, and optimize configurations.
Collaborating with internal teams to implement detection enhancements and advocate for customer priorities.
Generating regular reports on attack trends, mitigation effectiveness, and key security metrics for stakeholders.
Developing and implementing detection rules and models to improve the accuracy and effectiveness of the security products.

Do what you loveTo be successful in this role you will:

Have relevant work experience.
Have practical knowledge of application security products such as WAF and bot detection.
Have experience in SQL and familiarity with Python or similar programming languages.
Demonstrate familiarity with Internet protocols including TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, TLS/SSL.
Have great verbal and written communication skills.
