● Supporting the Accounting Manager with ensuring timely accuracy of all financial records, including financial statements and general ledger data.
● Fully responsible for the overall closing activities which include, but are not limited to preparing account analysis, journal entry reviews and account reconciliations.
● Partner with Italy business partners to proactively highlight and resolve any accounting issues and provide accounting support and guidance with a focus on communicating quantitative and qualitative information in a clear and accurate manner.
● This position addresses tight deadlines and a multitude of accounting activities including month end closing, financial reporting, audit data preparation, preparation of tax declarations.● Liaison with internal & external auditors, consultants for Accounting and compliance related work.
(B) Analysis & Business Partnering
● Assist Accounting Manager and key commercial partners in providing insightful, clear analysis of Italy operations including financial performance.● Partner with Corporate Tax, Legal, Treasury teams and accounting teams supporting other markets.
● Supervise and control intercompany billing and accounting, in cooperation with the accounting department in the corporate office in the US.
(C )Internal Control and Process Improvement
● Help to identify control gaps and assess effectiveness of internal controls by providing training on local policies and processes.
● Proactively look for opportunities to improve and streamline existing accounting processes to improve the quality of the financial data and reduce the time spent on recurring tasks.(D) Special Projects:
● Manage multiple projects under tight time constraints.
● Ad hoc requests related to functional or regional activities.What You Bring to the Table
● 4-5 years of Accounting experience on the Italian market in multinational consumer goods company or equivalent experience.
● Fluency in English.
● Experience working with SAP or similar ERP platforms.
● Strong Knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, ITALIAN GAAP and Italian tax regulations.
● Demonstrated ability to manage and complete workload within designated time while giving close attention to detail to ensure work is complete and accurate.
● Ability to work remotely with minimum supervision.What Makes You Unique
