Job Description:Senior Buyer EMEA - Raw MaterialsRole Overview:Huntsman Corporation’s Regional Purchasing team is searching for an experienced Senior Buyer Raw Materials in our newly formed hub in Krakow. The Purchasingteam is Huntsman’s central regional support for EMEA. We have world-wide multiple purchasing teams and are looking to further build our team in Krakow. Apply today!Role Responsibilities:Develop and implement Strategic Sourcing Methodologies to optimize total cost of ownership for selected raw materials.Perform Spend, Demand and Supply market analysis for key raw materials.Assure cost drivers are identified and TCO initiatives are developed in close cooperation with the stakeholders.Negotiate best prices, to maximize business profitability.Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships to maximize business profitability. Help our suppliers to achieve operational excellence.Manage contracts and agree continuous improvement targets with all our suppliers and our sites throughout the regions.Develop, implement, and direct processes to minimize the working capital and associated resource inputs within the procurement of raw materials.Support Tail End Spend strategic development:
- Construct and analyze RFQ’s, maximize leverage through collaboration with QA/QC staff
- Establish and direct short-term competitive bidding systems on low-risk commodity purchases.
- Manage long-term relationships with key distributors.Effectively inform internal business partners on market trends and cost forecasts. Help to ensure products and process developments are based on commercially viable raw materials from secure, high-quality sources.Report on regular basis on the progress of the key initiatives for your categories to the relevant business partners and the European procurement leadership team.Experience and Competencies:We are looking for experienced candidates with excellent communication skills and a solution focused approach.What we are looking for:Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, or equivalent through experience.Min. 3 years of experience in a purchasing or other commercial functions.Experience in buying raw materials (directs), sourcing directly in the markets or via a managing the relationship with a distributor.Previous professional experience gained in an international environment.Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work well under pressure.Strong analytical mindset, able to deal with ambiguity and a diverse material portfolio.Excellent negotiation skills, with strong communication and relationship building skills.Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.Good IT skills, with specific confidence in Excel and SAP.Fluent in English.
