We're on a mission to make the internet safer for legitimate users and businesses.We’re now hiring a QA Engineer to join Blackwall’s growing team and collaborate closely with our engineering leads.This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a technical environment, with a focus on automated testing, system-level validation, and software quality at scale. You’ll help build and maintain robust testing pipelines for high-performance backend services.Key responsibilities:Design, update, and execute automated tests for C++ and Python-based applicationsExtend and maintain test automation frameworks in PythonTest complex backend systems, including APIs, memory usage, and system integrationMonitor, log, and report test results clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholdersWork closely with developers and analysts to isolate and resolve defects, and collaborate with product managers to verify bug fixes and test new featuresMaintain and improve CI/CD test workflows (GitLab CI, Jenkins)Use Git in a collaborative team environmentIdentify inefficiencies in the QA lifecycle and propose targeted improvementsSupport test management using JIRA, and custom Python scriptsParticipate in code reviews to ensure testability and maintain standardsEssential skills&requirements:5+ years in test automation in distributed backends or system-level softwareStrong knowledge of pyTestExperience with Git, and CI/CD platforms such as GitLab CI or JenkinsSolid grasp of testing methodologies (ISTQB certification is a plus)Analytical mindset – able to spot edge cases and race conditionsClear communicator in English (B2+ level)Proactive attitude toward collaboration and process improvementBonus points:Previous experience in cybersecurity or working with secure communications protocolsBackground in performance, stress, or fuzz testingExposure to QA practices in regulated industries (e.g. finance, healthcare)We are striving to create a diverse and inclusive environment.
