- Strategic, operational, and technical capabilities to ensure that the company has an effective anti-fraud framework, including risk assessment, design and monitoring, as part of its internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR). Also includes working with Ethics & Compliance, Legal and Audit as to fraud findings, mitigations and resolutions.
- Oversee the integration and optimization of compliance monitoring tools (SAP GRC CCM and IGRM), ensuring alignment with global risk management strategies and audit requirements.
- Lead complex financial fraud investigations, coordinating cross-functional input and ensuring timely resolution and documentation in line with regulatory and internal standards.
- Interpret and apply local anti-fraud and compliance regulations (e.g., ECCTA in the UK), translating legal requirements into actionable internal controls and governance practices.
- Drive continuous improvement in Segregation of Duties (SoD) risk management across financial systems, leveraging SAP GRC Access Control and collaborating with DigitalX (Astellas IT function) to ensure robust provisioning processes.
- Champion the development and deployment of fraud awareness and prevention programs across finance, procurement, HR, and treasury, fostering a culture of integrity and vigilance.
- Represent Finance Governance in senior-level forums, contributing to strategic decision-making and ensuring lessons learned and risk insights are effectively communicated across the organization.
- Solid and proven experience in auditing and IFRS in a pharmaceutical company.
- Strong knowledge of J-SOX/SOX Standards and Fraud Risk Management.
- Proven success in designing and implementing risk management frameworks.
- Ability to conduct fraud risk assessments across financial processes.
- Excellent analytical skills to monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).
- Experience working with internal and external auditors.
- Understanding of COSO framework and statutory audit requirements in UK and Netherlands.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills.
- Experience in accounting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret data.
- Experience with interactive data tools.
- Proficiency in business English is essential for effective cross-country collaboration.
- University degree or equivalent experience.
- CPA, CIA, or similar certification.
- This is a permanent role based in our Global Capability Centre in Warsaw, Poland and hybrid working with the expectation for some office presence. Flexibility may be required in line with business need. Candidates must be located within a commutable distance of the office.
