At ROCKWOOL, we work relentlessly to enrich modern living through our innovative stone wool solutions.Join us and make a difference!Your future team:You will be part of our Sustainable Melting Team in Poznan, Poland, and work in close cooperation with colleagues in our International Engineering offices in Hedehusene (Rockwool A/S Headquarter), Denmark.The team delivers state of the art Melting plants to ROCKWOOL factories trough out the World and technical solutions to our factories stretching from upgrades and repairs to complete melting plants in new-build factories.This is your opportunity to embark on a transformative journey, impacting our factories worldwide and making a significant contribution to a greener future.What you will be doing:As a Mechanical Engineer at ROCKWOOL, you'll be at the forefront of sustainable melting technologies. Your critical role will involve designing and implementing cutting-edge melting furnaces powered by sustainable green energy as well as auxiliary systems. From the initial concept and study phase through to detailed specification, design, testing, commissioning, and after-service support, your expertise will guide the creation of energy-efficient systems that comply with industry standards such as PED, EN, ASME, and more. Taking a hands-on approach, you'll manage tender packages, conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), and provide on-site supervision to ensure the correct installation and commissioning of the melting equipment.Although your new desk will be located in the Nowy Rynek building in central Poznań, Poland, you will often travel primarily in Europe but could also be around North America and Asia – mostly to meet with colleagues and suppliers and to supervise the implementation of your projects. You can expect to travel up to 100 days per year, with trips varying from just a couple of days to a few weeks at a time. Know, however, that you will rarely be alone.What you bring:

A mechanical engineer with a bachelor's or master's degree, possessing a solid background in mechanical design of heavy industry equipment.
Proficient in mechanical design and 3D modeling, with experience in Inventor or similar CAD software.
Knowledgeable in welding techniques, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), inspection methods, and material science.
A team player who thrives in collaborative environments, yet is comfortable working independently and taking initiative on projects.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent communication skills to articulate ideas and technical specifications clearly.
