Location: Poland (hybrid in Wroclaw)Education Recommendations: Currently a candidate from the field of study as Computer Science, Telecommunications or similarIn our team, we are mainly responsible for designing and implementing custom Linux distros (using the Yocto build system). We oversee all the steps from the low-level elements such as BSP (Board support packages) - bootloader, kernel, the entire board bring-up process, to all the higher-level elements such as core userspace services (systemd, openssh, busybox, etc.) configuration or in-house application integration. We put great emphasis on security. Therefore, on each of the mentioned levels, we perform security checks and hardening of most of the Linux system elements. Additionally, we are responsible for the dockerised building environment for all of our distro codebase.Responsibilities:As part of our team, you will:
- Contribute to custom Linux distributions for RF products based on Yocto Project
- Work with very experienced engineers, creating new technologies, and shaping market trends
- Get experience working with big projects that share large parts of the codebase
- Active student status
- Good English (written and spoken)
- Working experience with at least one Linux/Unix distros (Preferably Debian/Ubuntu/Fedora/RedHat)
- Familiarity with at least one of the shell scripting languages and/or Python
- Knowledge of version control systems (GIT preferred)
- Good debugging skills
- Analytical skills
- Team player spirit
- Linux Build Systems - Yocto/OpenEmbedded experience preferred
- Experience with Linux kernel and u-boot development
- GCC/Clang knowledge
- Make/CMake knowledge
- DevOps (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins) knowledge
- Good knowledge of C and/or C++11/14/17/20 is a plus
- Familiarity with security aspects of Linux OS
- Network administration experience (TCP/IP routing/switching, firewall, network security)
