- Build forecasting models for natural gas and power portfolios
- Analyse Energy portfolio risks and seek for risk mitigation techniques
- Work cross-commodity, i.e. on power and natural gas supply & demand side projects.
- Understand the renewable energy impact as well as the conventional energy value chaing and deduce relevant conclusions to support a stable and renewable energy market in Europe.
- Use Excel, Python, PowerBI, Powerpoint and other tools to gather, prepare, analyse the energy market and present our results
- Present and discuss your results
- Mentor a junior team member we are currently seeking
- University background in a quantitative or economic field (Bachelor, Master, PhD)
- In-depth understanding of the mechanisms of the European energy market and a strong interested of staying at the forefront of future developments of conventional and alternative energies (power-to-x, batteries, hydrogen, ...)
- You feel comfortable handling stochastic processes, e.g. geometric brownian motion & ornstein-uhlenbeck processes
- You have a hands-on attitude (yes, there will also be csv files), and
- you are strong in preparing and presenting structured data analyses (powerpoint, python, numpy, plotly, ...)
- Business fluency in English is a must; knowledge of/ interest in learning another European language very welcome
- Ability to work in a hybrid/ remote setup [we love it, but not everybody is made for it] and ideally you have worked in such a setup before
- Everybody needs a different work environment to prosper - tell us about your needs and we will see, what we can do
- Certainly, we will work highly flexibly, i.e. (nearly) fully remote or hybrid
