At Smith+Nephew we design and manufacture technology that takes the limits off living.Smith+Nephew is hiring a Business Process Expert – Master Data.Join us as a Business Process Expert – Master Data and play a key role in shaping the future of global master data governance across Smith+Nephew. You’ll support ERP upgrades and ensure that our material master data processes are standardized, compliant, and scalable. Working closely with business stakeholders and IT teams, you’ll contribute to a major transformation effort that simplifies systems, improves data quality, and drives efficiency across our global business operations.What you will be doing?
  • Support the GBPO for Master Data in developing standard processes for ERP migrations and deployments.
  • Act as a data steward, partnering with SMEs, GBS, and IT to ensure master data records meet quality and compliance standards.
  • Manage SAP master data enrichment, harmonization, and governance across business functions.
  • Support design, testing, and documentation of master data processes within global ERP programs.
  • Oversee reporting needs related to master data and maintain alignment with global data platforms like UDP.
  • Participate in testing activities, including script creation and execution for SIT and UAT phases.
  • Lead or support change management efforts related to master data processes and governance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration, communication, and stakeholder alignment.
What will you need to be successful?
  • 3–5 years of experience in master data stewardship, governance, or change management.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP MM and manufacturing-related modules; SAP certification is a plus.
  • Experience with data design and quality control within global ERP programs, preferably in a regulated industry.
  • Fluent English and excellent communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams and managing data in complex environments.
  • Understanding of medical device or manufacturing product structures is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Experience with tools like Signavio, GetPaid, or data platforms such as UDP is a plus.
