- Support definition of project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Develop full-scale project plans and track project tasks/milestones using appropriate tools.
- Effectively analyze and report on project status.
- Monitor project budgets, ensuring efficient use of the investment.
- Confidently remediate at risk or underperforming projects in collaboration with project teams.
- Define project success criteria (i.e. project milestones) and communicate success criteria throughout the project life cycle.
- Conduct lessons learned and produce recommendations for future projects.
- Contribute to the development of the Global Project Management Office's best practices and tools for project management.
- Estimate resource requirements to achieve project goals.
- Negotiate resource commitments within a project with the resources' functional lead.
- Make recommendations for recruiting project resources where internal resources and skillsets are not available.
- Drive RFP / vendor selection process
- Set and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and other stakeholders.
- Build and nurture business relationships with key project stakeholders.
- Coach, mentor, and motivate internal project resources and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- 5+ years of experience in a Project Manager role. Experience in global or multinational organizations considered an asset.
- Formal qualifications or accreditations are considered an asset (e.g. BRMP, CBRM, MBRM, PMP, Prince2, ITIL, other).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills to effectively establish rapport and collaborate with stakeholders from diverse geographies, cultures and seniority levels
- Strong presentation skills.
- Exceptional negotiation, problem-solving and influencing skills to define root causes of issues or problems and achieve successful outcomes with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience in building, managing, and nurturing relationships, including effective collaboration with teams and vendors.
- Ability to listen, build trust, and develop credibility as a trusted strategic partner.
- Capable of setting expectations with stakeholders.
- Methodical approach to documentation with a strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail, and quality.
- Strong coordination and organizational skills.
- Able to respond well to high pressure situations.
