Join us and make a difference!Your future team:You will join a growing and supportive team that currently consists of four engineers and their manager - and is now doubling in size.What you will be doing:As a Quality Engineer at ROCKWOOL Group Technology, you will play an important role in ensuring equipment compliance and machinery safety for ROCKWOOL manufacturing systems that are within the scope of investment projects. You will lead the CE-marking process, from risk assessment, technical documentation to on-site inspections, ensuring all equipment meets relevant regulations.This is a highly impactful role suited for a engineer with knowledge of EU directives, a technical background, and the ability to mentor cross-functional teams in an international environment.Key Responsibilities:CE Marking & Regulatory Compliance
- Lead the CE-marking process for machinery (Machinery Directive) and equipment that is part of production investment projects
- Ensure compliance with Essential Health and Safety Requirements (EHSR)
- Conduct compliance assessments in line with the scope of EU Declaration of Conformity
- Ensure that instructions and technical documentation meets European directives, national laws, and company standards
- Oversee the preparation, review, and approval of documentation
- Review and approve technical requirements specification for tendering process
- Monitor timely documentation delivery from suppliers and internal engineering teams
- Lead 3D-model-based virtual inspections to verify compliance and recommend design improvements during design phase of the projects
- Provide input during project meetings and risk assessment sessions and document outcomes
- Conduct on-site safety and conformity inspections
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and factory stakeholders
- Ensure efficient documentation management for projects and leadership for compliance from design stage to commissioning
- 3+ years of engineering experience
- Experience in managing compliance and design safety for various types of equipment, ideally within the scope of the Machinery Directive (MD) or a related engineering field
- Experience in technical documentation, risk assessment or similar engineering field
- Ability to lead and influence within cross-functional and global project teams
- Willingness and availability for international business travel (approx. 20 days/year)
- Communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- CMSE® – Certified Machinery Safety Expert certification
- Experience with:
- Pressure Equipment Directive (PED)
- Low Voltage Directive (LVD)
- ATEX (Explosive Atmospheres)
- EN 1090 (Steel Structure Standards)
