The work we do here matters.Department Overview Motorola Solutions WORLDWIDE EDUCATION Organization consists of a group of professionals responsible for the creation and maintenance of training materials for Motorola Solutions employees, partners, and customers. As an Instructional Designer, you will have an opportunity to expand your IT knowledge and, with the use of modern tools, create content that allows our customers a better understanding of the state-of-the-art products developed by Motorola Solutions.If you feel that you’re up to the challenge, then we want YOU to join our department.Job DescriptionThis role entails designing and creating training courses for Motorola Solutions products, ensuring proper quality, and completing the work assigned on schedule. An Instructional Designer will use e-learning authoring tools and media development software to create engaging online courses.An Instructional Designer works closely with the product leadership teams, regional representatives, product managers, sales teams, sales enablement teams, and engineering teams and interacts with all audience-based learning leads to ensure their learning needs are reflected in the product program releases and business goals are met.An Instructional Designer analyzes and validates all requirements submitted for the creation or update of their portfolio. In partnership with program managers, they ensure that learning assets meet global and regional requirements.Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**):Engage with product groups, business leaders, regions, and pre\post sales and partner representatives to analyze learning needs of product release, incorporating specific requirements. Prioritize all learning requirements and create or update those courses as efficiently as possible.Collaboration:The candidate in this role will work directly with internationally dispersed professionals and teams of Subject Matter Experts, Master Instructors, and Project Managers. Therefore, the ability to clarify unknowns, take initiative, and identify potential risks is a must-have.Motorola Product Knowledge:To be able to create end-to-end courses, the candidate needs to understand the direction of the Product Teams and Subject Matter Experts; one will be expected to gain a deep understanding of the features, functions, and applicability of Motorola Solutions products and services.
