- Good understanding of VMware vSphere environments
- Experience with KVM-based virtualization platforms, preferably HPE VM Essentials (VME)
- Knowledge of hypervisor-level operations and management
- Good experience with Windows Server administration
- Good experience with Linux Server administration
- Understanding of disk partitioning, file systems, and boot loaders
- Experience with any previous VM Migration projects.
- Experience with virt-v2v or similar VM conversion tools
- Familiarity with RiverMeadow migration platform is preferred
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, and PowerShell scripting
- Experience with Ansible for automation
- Ability to develop custom automation scripts for migration workflows
- Understanding of network interfaces and configurations across platforms
- Knowledge of firewall configurations and security groups
- Experience with TCP/IP networking and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of various storage systems and configurations
- Experience with logical volume management (LVM)
- Understanding of disk formats (VMDK, qcow2) and conversion processes
- Effective English communication for customer interactions
- Strong documentation skills
- Perform detailed assessment and discovery of source VMware environments
- Create and execute migration plans
- Configure and deploy migration tools and appliances
- Develop and implement automation for large-scale migrations
- Validate migrated VMs for proper functionality
- Troubleshoot migration issues and implement solutions
- Document migration processes and create handover documentation
