Leading the delivery of a high volume of contracting projects globally, the centre acts as the operational engine of the procurement organization. The efforts and priorities will include supporting the on-time delivery of the R&D pipeline, ensuring compliance, quality, performance, value of the services as well as identifying opportunities to accelerate improvements to each.In this role you will…
- Develop and negotiate R&D agreements in a timely manner under a defined category or contracting strategy and in compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations
- Ensure that contracts are consistent with GSK quality and business objectives
- Partner and build strong relationships with GSK stakeholders and suppliers and use your expertise to support the R&D Procurement organization in accelerating the R&D pipeline
- Identify opportunities to create value and optimize contracting strategies to assure compliance, quality, service, cost and innovation
- Drive implementation of new processes and procedures to improve organizational efficiencies
- Demonstrate GSK Culture and contribute to cultural change to enable the organization focus on decision-making accountability, quality, performance, and collaboration
- University degree (Law, Business, Finance, Sciences a related field)
- 3-5 years of relevant Procurement experience
- Proven experience in contracts management and ability to manage and negotiate R&D contracts
- Project and change management skills
- Proficiency in English and one of following languages: Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French or German
- Ability to demonstrate knowledge of multiple R&D Procurement categories and understanding of the pharma industry and drug development process
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Problem solving skills and ability in navigating through organizational complexity, collaborating simultaneously with multiple teams
