- Lead the finance function across East Europe and beyond, overseeing Finance Directors in several countries and driving alignment with business objectives
- Own the East Europe P&L and deliver financial targets across revenue, EBITDA, and operational KPIs
- Partner with regional commercial leaders and GMs to ensure proactive financial planning, risk management, and growth delivery
- Lead the financial planning and forecasting processes, providing insightful and timely analysis to support decision-making
- Act as a senior stakeholder in cluster-wide business reviews and investment decisions, working closely with the East Europe Leadership Team
- Support M&A initiatives and the integration of acquired entities across the region
- Drive process improvements, including working capital optimization (e.g., unbilled revenue, DSO, overdue invoices)
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, corporate policies, and compliance with local statutory and tax requirements
- Champion operational excellence and cost efficiency initiatives across the region
- Represent the East Europe finance function in cross-regional and global initiatives, including process harmonization and digital transformation
- Manage and develop high-performing finance teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, agility, and continuous improvement
- Proven track record of leading finance functions in large, complex, matrixed organizations, ideally across the consumer, FMCG, and pharmaceutical (OTC) sectors
- Extensive experience in senior finance roles within international, matrix organizations; Big4 background strongly preferred
- Deep understanding of IFRS is required; knowledge of US GAAP is considered an advantage
- Strong involvement in regional M&A activities, including financial analysis, due diligence, and post-merger integration across clusters
- Familiarity with commercial performance tracking, including top-line focused micro-forecasting and strategic support for revenue-driving units
- Ability to navigate and collaborate within international matrix structures, with regular reporting lines and cooperation with stakeholders in the UK and other EMEA countries
- Experience in supporting the build-up and expansion of Shared Service Centers across regions
- Strong experience in hands-on, time-sensitive finance environments with fast pace and consulting-like dynamics
- Proven ability to operate in less structured, high-growth settings with significant daily operational workload
- Exceptional resilience and accountability in high-pressure settings; strong drive to stay focused and deliver under constant time and process demands
- Strong seniority and business gravitas; precise, concise, and executive-level communication style - to the point, not overly detailed
- Demonstrated effectiveness in high-complexity financial operations, including frequent forecasting cycles (weekly, monthly), sales performance reviews, FTE and compensation reporting, cash flow oversight, and operational closing processes across multiple countries
- Experience in close collaboration with country finance teams - strong influencing, challenge, and support mindset; ability to "pull" insights from local teams, not just extract from systems
- Fluent in both Polish and English (written and spoken)
