- Supports BDS technical leadership in development of SoW, technical mentoring, project planning, execution and monitoring,
- Develops, integrates and documents structural and interior payload system requirements to establish the system design.
- Develops, maintains and modifies structural and interior payload system and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
- Performs, integrates analytical and test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
- Manages supplier development, test and production activities and coordinates with the supplier to optimize the design and achieve program goals.
- Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort. Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements, working under general direction.
- Bachelors of Science (or greater) in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Engineering or related fields.
- Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as aircraft structure, materials and properties, design criteria and release processes.
- Strong understanding and demonstrated experience with reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical and structural design, creating, executing and reviewing, structural design models. Working conceptual, preliminary and detailed design including 2D drawings and 3D deliverables in CAD/CAM software
- 2+ years of experience presenting to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership
- 2+ years of experience working within a cross-functional interpersonal environment
- Demonstrates good problem-solving skills and critical thinking.
- Solid communicator, fluent in both written and verbal English.
- CATIA V5/V6 proficiency
- Experience validating or verifying structural models.
- Experience with structural design principles for aircraft primary structures, secondary structures, interior payloads.
- Demonstrates good problem-solving skills and critical thinking.

- Experience in project management (planning, monitoring, reporting).
