Head of NPD & Innovationlokalizacja: Wroclawnumer referencyjny: 1194937/jobs.plforma zatrudnienia: Pełny etatFor our client, a leading global bakery business ( greenfield production site) we are searching for a dynamic and experienced Head of NPD & InnovationAs the Head of NPD & Innovation, you will lead the development and execution of new product initiatives at Polish site. You will be responsible for driving innovation, managing the NPD pipeline, and ensuring successful product launches that meet customer expectations and align with Organization’s strategic goals. This role requires strong leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and a deep understanding of food manufacturing and consumer trends.Responsibilities:Lead the NPD function at the Polish site, overseeing concept development, trials, and product launches.Develop and implement the site’s innovation strategy in alignment with group objectives.Manage the full NPD lifecycle-from ideation and feasibility to launch and post-launch review.Collaborate with commercial, technical, operations, and procurement teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.Build strong relationships with key customers, presenting innovation pipelines and responding to briefs.Ensure all new products meet food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.Oversee the creation and approval of product specifications, artwork, and packaging in collaboration with relevant teams.Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer insights to inform innovation strategy.Lead and mentor the NPD team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.Manage critical paths and ensure timely delivery of projects within budget and scope.Represent the site in group innovation forums and contribute to cross-site collaboration.Qualifications:Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related discipline.Minimum 7 years of experience in NPD or innovation within the food manufacturing industry, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.Strong understanding of product development processes, food safety, and quality standards.Experience managing cross-functional teams and customer relationships.Fluent in Polish and English.Experience in bakery or similar categories.Familiarity with EU food regulations and retailer requirements.Exposure to international markets and multi-site operations.Strategic thinker with a passion for innovation.Strong leadership and team development skills.Excellent project management and organisational abilities.Effective communicator and influencer across all levels.Commercially aware and customer-focused.Creative, agile, and solutions-oriented.Join an exciting expansion initiative and help establish a flagship production hub in Europe.
