We are a growing fitness startup building sales software for gyms. Our mission is to help gyms increase revenue by making it easier for staff to connect with their customers.About the RoleYou will lead the backend development from the ground up, working with APIs, integrations, and scalable systems. This role includes close collaboration with clients and the team to ensure the product is reliable, maintainable, and high-performing.What You’ll Do

Lead the design and implementation of server-side logic and APIs.
Guide integration with gym management systems.
Ensure clean, tested, and reliable code across the platform.
Mentor developers and share best practices for architecture and coding.
Collaborate with the team to build responsive, cost-effective solutions.
Occasionally travel in Europe to learn from gym staff workflows.

What We’re Looking For

7+ years of backend development experience
Expert knowledge Node.js + TypeScript
Expert knowledge of AWS for backend development
Strong experience with SQL databases (ideally PostgreSQL + Prisma).
Proven ability to design scalable, maintainable backend systems.
