Role ProfileThe DataScope suite of applications is part of our Pricing and Reference Service business. It is a respected application used in the wider finance industry where clients can download both market data in bulk form or in customized reports. The application has 4k+ external clients who consume financial data to analyse funds and the market position of global industry players.ROLE SUMMARY:In this role, you'll be joining our Enterprise Data Solutions as a Lead Front End Developer (.NET): serving the entire spectrum of data needs across asset classes, latency and delivery mechanisms including real-time data and news, reference and legal entity data.WORKSTYLE MODELWe know balance is the key, therefore we propose hybrid way of working. You are welcome to work from our brand-new office every day, but you have still an opportunity to stay at home if needed. In this position you can work 4 days a week from home.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
- Implements features, adjusts and supports solutions according to business requirements from product managers.
- Improves technical solutions to make them more stable and maintainable.
- Provides assistance to 2nd and 3rd line support teams to analyze and resolve data and behavioral issues from clients.
- Collaborates with the software development team on application design and development.
- Develops knowledge and understanding of technologies in LSEG and utilises these in their own scope of work, to create a network within the company.
- Adapts existing patterns to develop robust solution and provides strong knowledge on coding.
- Optimizes software by performing maintenance, updates, and upgrades.
- Documents processes and maintaining software development records.
- Keeps up to date with .NET development standards and advancements in application development.
- Build and develops trusting relationships with people at all levels, represents LSEG appropriately. Promotes collaboration between and within teams and communicates complex information clearly to all audiences.
- Enterprise-scale application development experience using Microsoft .NET.

Works with colleagues and customers to develop new software applications and update and modify existing applications. The application developer processes users' needs to customize the software for computer programs, designs prototype applications, implements, and tests source code and fix software applications.
Your duties will primarily revolve around building software by writing code, as well as modifying software to fix errors, adapt it to new hardware, improve its performance, or upgrade interfaces. You will also be involved in system testing and validation procedures, and also working with customers or departments on technical issues including software system design and maintenance.
