Property Accounting Team LeaderResponsibilities:
- Lead and support a team responsible for daily property accounting operations, including prepayments, accruals, deferred revenue, and rent accounting
- Oversee journal preparation, Special Purpose Vehicle transactions, and validation of property-related adjustments
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of period-end close activities (Month-End, Quarter-End, Year-End), including balance sheet reconciliations and clearing of open items
- Review and approve accounting entries related to property assets, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (e.g. Finance, Tax, Controlling) and external service providers for accurate financial reporting
- Support tax and statutory reporting processes for SPVs and legal entities, in cooperation with third-party providers
- Act as the first point of contact for internal and external audits, ensuring documentation readiness and timely responses
- Drive process improvements and support automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and control in the property accounting area
- Maintain and regularly update process documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Coach, guide and support team members in their development, fostering a culture of ownership and continuous improvement
- Monitor team performance, KPIs, and service levels to ensure high-quality delivery and timely issue resolution
- Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in the property or real estate area, with at least 1 year in a team leadership or supervisory role
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Solid knowledge of period-end closing activities, property-related accounting, and intercompany processes
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills
- Proficiency in English; Polish is a strong asset
- Strong analytical and organizational skills, with attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
- Good understanding of compliance and internal control principles
- Experience in a shared services or multinational environment is an advantage
