Provide managers and employees with up to date guidance and support on all people related issues. Drive programs & action teams to improve relations & engagement scores. Manage the relationship with official union convener where relevant to ensure no industrial relations issues. Support the delivery of restructures as required.Learning & Development
Partner with the L&D lead for UK/Ireland to develop and deliver training when required to support the HR calendar and line manager capability. To meet the current and future needs of the business and ensure career development needs via appraisals are actioned.Policies & Procedures
Assist the Snr Manager UK&I with the consistent development and implementation of legally complaint policies & procedures across the Country Operations. Provide advice and support to employees and managers on the application of policies & procedures.Resourcing
Partner with the Talent Acquisition team in order to conduct the recruitment process for all approved vacancies, including job posting, screening of CV's, conducting psychometric testing, preparing and conducting competency-based interviews and assisting the hiring manager to select the relevant candidate.Organisational Planning
Develop and maintain effective records in relation to the succession planning of the organization and the management of key successors and high potential individuals. Ensuring the plans are shared with individuals and development plans are implemented & tracked.Performance Management
Coach and guide managers on performance issues, intervening with mediation support where necessary. Review, oversee and provide guidance/training on the SW appraisal process.Merit Planning
Support the annual merit process ensuring the collation of appraisal ratings and salary information is accurate. Ensure business wide calibration meetings are conducted to apply fair measurements that are ethical and are based on equal pay considerations.Health & Safety
Represent HR on the site EH&S committee monthly to ensure issues are raised and closed out.Other duties:
- Develop, prepare and present information/statistical analysis of HR information on a monthly basis
- Provide a proactive, customer focused HR service
- Play an effective and active role to achieve HR budget requirements
- Ensure all Health & Safety requirements are met, setting an example of this for the business
- Provide a focus on continuous improvement
- Degree in Economics or Social Science
- Proven experience in a HR Manager role in a production environment
- Blue chip, US corporate knowledge desirable
- Microsoft tools: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel for data analysis and reporting, PowerPoint, and Word, for various business applications.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate information clearly and persuasively to various stakeholders.
- Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Collaboration: Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with the Senior HR Manager and Employee Relations Manager.
- Customer focus: Provides high-quality HR services that meet the needs of the business.
