- Lead and manage a team of software engineers across multiple Scrum teams.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, ownership, and learning within the Engineering function.
- Support and develop team members through regular 1:1s, feedback, mentorship, and career development planning.
- Collaborate with senior engineering leadership to define and execute the Engineering Roadmap.
- Ensure high standards of engineering practices and delivery processes across teams.
- Identify and address technical or operational challenges, driving improvements in onboarding, documentation, SDLC, and overall developer experience.
- Facilitate communication of company vision and Engineering goals, ensuring alignment and promoting autonomy within teams.
- Contribute to the technical direction and roadmap in collaboration with other Engineering Managers and the Director of Engineering.
- Promote a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages knowledge-sharing, collaboration, and psychological safety.
- Contribute to code implementation and reviews, especially during critical phases.
- Partner with the HR team to recruit top engineering talent and build diverse, inclusive, high-performing teams.
- 2+ years of experience in an engineering leadership role (e.g., Engineering Manager or Tech Lead).
- Strong foundation in software engineering and software delivery lifecycle (SDLC).
- Hands-on experience with Java and Spring development; familiarity with React, AWS, and microservice architectures is a strong plus.
- Proven experience hiring, developing, and retaining diverse technical talent.
- Demonstrated ability to lead through influence and alignment across multiple teams and stakeholders.
- Experience working closely with product managers and other business stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Fluency in Polish is a plus.
- Experience in organizations transitioning from monolithic systems to microservices.
- Background in operating within regulated, enterprise, or high-scale environments.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and CI/CD pipelines.
