This role requires extensive experience managing a small technical team while owning the commercial product backlog, aligning business needs with development execution, and ensuring smooth delivery of high-quality solutions that directly contribute to company revenue.Role & Responsibilities:Lead & Manage Team: Directly manage and coach a small cross-functional technical team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and growth.Backlog Ownership: Define, prioritize, and maintain the commercial product backlog with clear user stories and acceptance criteria.Stakeholder Alignment: Collaborate with product, commercial, design, and data stakeholders to set priorities and success metrics.Agile Delivery: Drive backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives to ensure efficient delivery and reduced lead time.Customer & Partner Focus: Act as the voice of external partners and end-users to ensure features drive adoption, revenue, and satisfaction.Job Requirements:Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager with people management responsibilities.Strong track record managing small technical teams (front-end, back-end, or client developers).Deep understanding of Agile methodologies, backlog management, and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).Familiarity with APIs, system integrations, and database concepts (SQL) to collaborate effectively with engineers.Proficiency with product analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, Google Analytics) and ability to make data-driven decisions.Background in B2B2C SaaS, Ad-Tech, or revenue-driven platforms, with experience in monetization strategies such as subscriptions, premium tiers, or pay-per-use models.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including negotiation and alignment across business, technical, and design teams.Understanding of UI/UX principles to support collaboration with design teams.What’s On Offer:At Opera, you’ll join a diverse and inclusive team of experienced, supportive professionals who value creativity and collaboration.
