- Developing and communicating a clear vision and strategy for Schaeffler's SAP Foreign Trade Operations by monitoring market trends, staying aligned with SAP's product vision as well as Schaeffler's business and IT strategy
- Engaging with cross-functional teams, including Schaeffler's S4 program, Customs, Export Control, sales, logistics, procurement, and finance departments, to gather and align requirements, prioritize features, and manage expectations
- Creating, prioritizing and maintaining a detailed product backlog
- Ensuring that user stories and acceptance criteria are well-defined and guiding the development team through the completion process
- Working closely with development teams and Schaeffler's S4 program to deliver and operate SAP GTS solutions and integrate foreign trade functions from SAP and non-SAP systems to GTS and third-party foreign trade software
- Ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and compliant with international trade regulations
- Monitoring implemented solutions for performance and effectiveness, identifying opportunities for process improvements and driving initiatives to enhance efficiency and compliance
- Staying informed of global trade policies, international regulations, and compliance standards affecting SAP foreign trade operations
- Implementing risk mitigation strategies and ensuring regulatory adherence
- Leading, mentoring and inspiring a team of SAP professionals within the foreign trade domain; encouraging continuous learning and a culture of innovation
- Completed studies in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Information Technology or related field, ideally with an advanced degree or certifications in SAP GTS or foreign trade operations
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English (min. C1 level)
- A proven experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or a similar role within SAP Foreign Trade Operations, especially with SAP GTS
- Experience in using Agile methodologies and tools (Scrum, Kanban, JIRA, etc.)
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs compliance, and logistics processes
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to effectively work with diverse teams and stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and solutions
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
