You will work closely with a number of teams within OANDA, including Finance and Accounting, Legal and Product Management, to provide tax insights while ensuring tax compliance requirements are met.You will work across multiple jurisdictions, so there will always be something to learn, but your main focus will be on the Polish tax obligations, including: CIT, WHT, TP, VAT, PIT (non-payroll obligations), MDR, and certain foreign taxes.We work in a flexible hybrid working model - we'd love to meet you in the office 4 times per month with respect to your own commitments.In this role, you will work on:Providing tax advice and contribute towards Key Performance Indicators what includes:Creating and implementing tax risk management procedures; proactively work with external tax advisors to mitigate such risks.Leading the efforts to continuously identify tax saving opportunities in various areas (CIT, R&D, VAT, withholding tax).Providing guidance to Finance Team members regarding proper VAT and CIT treatment on various transactions.Advising on the tax considerations of new product offerings, new types of transactions and corporate reorganizations.Supporting the Finance Team in audits of the financial statements and providing tax related support to auditors.Tax compliance and provisioning what includes:Performing detailed analysis of financial information to prepare accurate corporate income tax, VAT, withholding tax and various information reporting filings along with prepare tax defense files in support of positions taken.Preparing current and deferred tax computations for financial reporting.Defending examinations from tax authorities by coordinating with external advisors to manage tax checks, audits and inquiries.Preparing tax ruling and tax refund applications.Coordinating the transfer pricing analysis and documentation process with advisors.FATCA/CRS, CESOP and other information reporting.Monitoring of new regulations to assess the implications to the company and implement new procedures as necessary.What skillset do you need, to be successful in this role?7-8 years of work experience focused in the area of taxation.Strong knowledge of rules and legislation concerning taxation.In-depth understanding of accounting principles and methodologies.Fluent English.Strong problem solving skills and time management abilities .Master's Degree in Business Administration/Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics preferred.OANDA Global Corporation is a diverse and global team with offices around the world.
